Create a block out event

Whether your campus is closed or a room needs maintenance, you can create block out events to ensure the affected rooms can't be booked during those times.

  1. If this is your first time creating a block out event, create tags based on why the campus or room(s) might be blocked out.

  2. Create an event that will be a placeholder for the date(s) you want to block out.

  3. Add the appropriate tag to the event.

  4. Add the main rooms you need to block out. If someone tries to request those rooms, they'll create a conflict, and your Conflict Resolver can reject the request due to the block out.

    Tip

If you need to block out the entire campus or a specific group of rooms, add those rooms to an event template to reserve them more easily.

  5. Hide the event by changing the Church Center visibility status to Unpublished and deselecting the Include on shared calendars icon in the schedule.
